This is a work in progress... in 2009 while I was scouting locations in different Ecuadorian cities for the film PESCADOR that I shot for Sebastián Cordero, I started shooting 2.35 aspect ratio photos (the aspect ratio produced by anamorphic lenses used on film) . Since then, I continued exploring this format and pairing images shot in different parts of the world while I traveled for work. The idea is to try connecting visually and emotionally these really different places but the project it´s not finished yet and I really don´t know where it´s heading...The photos shown here are only a few and were taken in Ecuador (Quito, Guayaquil and some small towns in the Ecuadorian coast), Mumbai, Panama, Argentina, Shanghai and Beijing. We ended up shooting Sebastian´s film on the spherical aspect ratio (1:1.85) but scouting locations composing on a wider frame sparked this project...
