DANIEL ANDRADE
CINEMATOGRAPHER

I´ve been working as a still photographer, cinematographer and director for film and television for more than 20 years. My credits include 12 narrative feature films. Most of those projects were produced in Ecuador but some of them were shot in Argentina and USA. I´ve collaborated with directors such as Sebastián Cordero, Azazel Jacobs, Javier Andrade, María Victoria Menis, Víctor Arregui, Camilo Luzuriaga and Mateo Herrera. I co-directed two feature films with Anahi Hoeneisen: Esas No Son Penas and Ochentaisiete. I also was the cinematographer for 3 documentary films directed by Manolo Sarmiento, Lisandra Rivera and Carla Valencia. In 2001 I was awarded a Master of Fine Arts at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles. My thesis project ON WEE!, a short film directed by Azazel Jacobs, got an Honorable Mention from the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC). Since 1998 I have also worked as a director of photography on several short films, documentaries, music videos and more than 650 commercials. My still photography work has been part of few collective exhibitions in Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, New York and Quito.
